Good ID Op-ed in Washington Post

The post title links to a nice op-ed on Intelligent Design. While Krauthammer's economic policies may sometimes seem pretty silly to this admittedly untrained ear, he laid the smacketh down on the ID crowd in admirable fashion.

In order to justify the farce that intelligent design is science, Kansas had to corrupt the very definition of science, dropping the phrase " natural explanations for what we observe in the world around us," thus unmistakably implying -- by fiat of definition, no less -- that the supernatural is an integral part of science. This is an insult both to religion and science.

This is precisely what we need to see; rational conservatives who have the moxie to say "enough!!!" For too long have both the left and the right (but especially this administration) played politics with science.
